what form of poetry is this? & is there any mistakes? i think are are...not sure though?

Winged Jewel
(The Huming, Bird)
Feathered fire of emerald .
Aflashing through the air,
Its throat a glowing jewel,
A ruby solitaire.

Intrepid wings are whirring
In airy, fairy flight,
Careening through the sunshine,
A scintillating sprite.

Then pendant o'er flower
It dips its dainty hill
And gathers honeyed nectar
From flowery cup and frill.

Now darting, swiftly turning,
It seeks the trumpet vine,
A little tropic jewel
Aflame with nectared wine.

what does huming, mean ? hummingbird ?

No. Everyone is wrong who is calling it free verse or a sonnet!

With no knowledge of metre, why do you people bother answering.

It may not have the strictest (or rather, most pendantic) form, but it is ultimately in ballad metre. That means that there are four beats in the first and third lines, and three beats in the second and fourth. However, if you really want to be flash (or if you've analysed the metre yourself and you disagree with me), it's actually in 'catalectic' ballad metre, meaning that instead of the fourth beat in the first and second lines, you opt to get rid of it but keep the preceding unstressed syllable.

Another example of this is The Rime of the Ancient Marinere, which is exclusively in a ballad metre - though rarely catalectic), with some variations (I'll capitalise where the beats are):

'there IS an ANC-ient MAR-in-ERE,
and he STOP-peth ONE of THREE'

So the poem above...

'in-TRE-pid WINGS are WHIR-ring <-- see, half-finished?
in AIR-y, FAIR-y FLIGHT' <-- and here, no unstressed syllable?

So... the real answer to your question is:

Catalectic ballad metre.

As for 'form' - well it doesn't particularly have one in the sense that it has a name. So if you're merely referring to the structure of the poem, then you must refer to the metre.
